Experience LSU
Geaux Tigers!
First-time visitors can't believe their eyes as they walk around LSU's campus before a football game. Hundreds of thousands of fans turn campus into a purple-and-gold festival of food, music, dancing, laughter and excitement all day long. And then, at kickoff, more than 100,000 people from across the southeast United States fill Tiger Stadium, the seventh-largest stadium in the world, to support the university's student-athletes.
And members of the LSU Family carry that spirit with them everywhere they go — or “geaux,” as the university says to highlight south Louisiana’s Cajun culture. “Wherever I’ve traveled in the United States, I’ve always found somebody wearing something related to LSU,” says Jade Martindale, a freshman from Panama studying to become a veterinarian. “Even when I went to Disney a year ago, I found so many people throughout all the parks wearing something that’s related to LSU. It’s really great being a part of a family and having that support wherever I go.”
