LSU Global welcomes most diverse class!
LSU Global welcomed the most diverse class in its history to campus this fall.
Students from 25 different countries, planning to study 25 different majors, joined the LSU Global Family this August.
This group included representatives from 14 nations that had not previously sent students through the program, as well as the newest students from China, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Oman, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, United Emirates, Venezuela and Vietnam.
The new countries represented include Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Georgia, Ghana, Honduras, Kuwait, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Montserrat, South Korea, Suriname and Zambia.
“These new students are already getting involved as part of the LSU community,” managing director Todd Ellwein said. “And their engagement with campus life will have a positive impact on the academic and social experience of all students — both domestic and international. It’s been really fun to hear our students already sharing their culture and traditions with their new friends and then bonding together as Tigers.”

Here are some examples of what Jane (business, Vietnam), Abbas (journalism, Kenya) and Jose Victor (civil engineering, Brazil) had to say about life at LSU so far.
