1. Prospective students of LSU Global Undergraduate Accelerator Program at LSU should read these terms and conditions carefully prior to submitting an application. If you are admitted to the UAP you will be bound by these terms for the duration of your Program. In addition to these terms and conditions, as a student at LSU, you will be bound by the rules and regulations governing LSU, as those may be amended from time to time. These rules and regulations may be found at: www.lsu.edu.
 
2. LSU and LSU Global reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions fromtime to time. By accepting these terms and conditions you acknowledge andagree to comply at all times with the then-current terms and conditions, found at: www.lsuglobal.com.
 
3. Application: Students may apply to the UAP (Extended, Academic, or Integrated), or to the ELOP (“Pre-Sessional English”) (collectively the “Programs”). If you apply to any of these Programs, be sure to use the application that is specific to the Program you select. Each application contains terms & conditions governing the specific Program and you acknowledge that by submitting an application you agree to the terms and conditions of your respective Program. 4. Transfer Credits: Students applying to the UAP with post-secondary college credits are subject to additional requirements. You must disclose any post-secondary college credits at the time of application. If you have taken credit-bearing university-level courses after the completion of high school you must meet the current secondary school required GPA requirements (U.S. equivalent of a 2.5 GPA) as well as a 2.5 average GPA for all post-secondary college credits, regardless of whether or not you wish to transfer that credit to LSU. Vocational and ESL studies are not considered during the admissions review process. Transfer credits are articulated after the completion of the UAP and will apply toward academic years 2, 3, and 4; under no circumstances will transfer credits apply to the UAP. You acknowledge that LSU and LSU Global make no representations and cannot guarantee that post-secondary college credits will be accepted.
 
5. Admission: If you are admitted to the LSU GLOBAL UAP at LSU you will receive a written offer letter with details and instructions on accepting the offer, paying the Program deposit and arriving on campus.
 
6. Tuition and fees payment: Following payment of the deposit, you must pay the remaining outstanding balance shown on the UAP invoice by the following posted payment deadline of the Program and semester in which you will enroll:

You are responsible for paying the full invoice amount, including any banking or processing fees. LSU GLOBAL has the right to amend prices due to University actions, governmental actions, or other events beyond its control.
 
7. Failure to Pay: Failure to pay by your applicable posted payment deadline may lead to penalties, including late fees, inability to gain access to campus housing and use of a meal plan, and a hold on your account that will prevent you from enrolling in classes. Pursuant to section 22 of these terms and conditions, we will be required to report you to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) if you are unable to enroll due to nonpayment of tuition and fees and you may lose immigration status.
 
8. Cancellation, Change, Curtailment or Withdrawal: You will only be eligible for a deposit refund if you submit documentation of visa denial with written notification to the LSU GLOBAL prior to the move-in date. If you cancel your enrollment prior to your Program move-in date (see table below for the move-in date applicable to you), you may request a full refund of fees, less housing and any othernon-refundable fees. After the start of the Program you may be eligible for the partial Program refunds listed in the table below. After the no refund dates listed below, all tuition and fees for the entire duration of the Program are nonrefundable.

Cancellations made prior to your Program start date but after your arrival to the U.S. on a LSU-issued Form I-20 will be governed under the standard LSU student immigration policies. Please refer to the table below for the Program start date applicable to you. 9. Refunds: LSU GLOBAL will only make refunds in U.S. Dollars, minus bank transfer and processing fees, and will make such refunds in the manner in which LSU GLOBAL was originally paid and to the account of the party or parties who made such payment(s). Refunds will be processed according to the exchange rate in place at the time of the refund. All refunds will be made to eligible parties within 45 days of a written request.
 

10. Airport Transfers: Requests for airport transfer service should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of arrival by visiting www.lsuglobal.com/welcome. Airport transfers are available for your initial arrival on campus for flights arriving at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) or the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). LSU GLOBAL cannot guarantee a reservation for a request made less than 2 weeks in advance. If your flight is cancelled or delayed, you must call the emergency telephone number published in the Next Steps Brochure to inform LSU GLOBAL staff of the new arrival date or time. Airport transfer fees are nonrefundable.
 
11. Housing Accommodation and Meal Plan: You are required to commit to a reservation in approved LSU GLOBAL housing for the full duration of your program. Payment for housing is due in full two weeks prior to the move-in date (see the table below for your applicable move-in date) unless you are on a payment plan pre-approved by LSU GLOBAL. Late housing payments or failure to pay housing costs may result in additional fees. If you are unable to live on campus you must submit a Housing Waiver Form to LSU GLOBAL when yousend your official acceptance to the UAP offer letter. The requirement to live in LSU GLOBAL housing will be waived only in extenuating circumstances. A housing cancellation charge of $2000 may apply 30 days prior to your Program’s move-in date. Thereafter, you may receive prorated refund amounts, less a cancellation fee, for your then-current semester up to the no refund date stated in section 8, however, after the no refund date you will be eligible to receive a housing refund for future semesters. You must also purchase and enroll in a meal plan for the duration of your Program. The cost of a meal plan is nonrefundable for the first semester of your Program.
 
12. Health Insurance: All international students studying at LSU are required to be covered by health insurance that meets the U.S. Government, Louisiana, and LSU requirements. Not all services are covered, and the student is responsible for any outstanding balances for non-covered services.
  1. At the time of application, you are required to purchase coverage from a LSU GLOBAL-designated health plan as a condition of enrollment.
  2. You must have a completed Student Health Center Mandatory Immunization Form documenting proof of immunity to Measles (Rubeola), Mumps and German Measles (Rubella) [MMR]; one Diphtheria/Tetanus booster within the past ten years; two doses of Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine; series of Hepatitis B vaccine; polio vaccine (if under the age of 18) and the Meningoccocal vaccine. Mandatory Immunization Forms may be obtained here: http://www.lsu.edu/shc/files/immun-comp-form-rvsd-04-2012.pdf. You must have completed immunization documentation prior to class registration in order to enroll in any courses.
  3. The cost of health insurance is non-refundable.
13. Academic Resources: All books and learning materials must be purchased upon arrival at LSU through the LSU bookstore or other recommended sources.
 
14. Vacation, Holidays, and School Closures: UAP students must adhere to theLSU Academic Calendar for holidays and vacations. Classes will not be held on designated school vacations and may be cancelled on public holidays. LSU GLOBAL will not make reimbursements for classes not offered due to holidays, vacations, or school closures due to emergencies.
 
15. Consecutive Semesters. You must complete your Program in consecutive semesters, unless you are in the AAP Program entering in the spring semester, in which case summer semester is optional. If you choose to participate in the summer semester additional costs will apply.
 
16. Absences: Failure to meet attendance requirements may lead to penalties, including loss of immigration status and deportation. You will not receive a refund if you lose immigration status due to class absences.
 
17. Program of Study: Upon arrival on campus, you will be required to take anEnglish language assessment test. The results of the assessment test are used to determine placement in the Program that is appropriate for your skill level, which may be different from your intended Program. If your assessment test score does not meet the criteria for your intended Program you will not be able to enroll in that Program. As a result, the length of study may be longer than originally anticipated, and involve additional costs including tuition and other fees. If you choose to withdraw from the UAP because you do not wish to enroll in the Program that your assessment test results require, the refund terms contained in sections 8, 9, 11, and 12 will apply to you.
 
18. Academic Performance: Students are accepted to the UAP with the strict understanding that progression through the UAP and successful completion of any Program will require satisfactory attendance, successful attainment of specified progression criteria, and adherence to the LSU’s Student Handbook which can be found at http://saa.lsu.edu/code. To continue in the UAP, you must also be in compliance with the LSU GLOBAL UAP academic standards andprogression requirements, which can be found at: http://global.lsu.edu/terms-and-conditions/hubfs/pdfs/LSU_IAP_PROGRESSION_REQUIREMENTS.pdf. You will not be allowed to proceed if you do not meet the criteria for successful completion of your Program. If you are unable to proceed, you may be offered advice on suitable alternatives, including repeating courses or dismissal from LSU. These alternative options may involve additional time and costs, including tuition and other fees which may require presenting additional proof of finances to LSU’s Designated School Official.
 
19. Student Conduct: LSU’s Student Handbook (saa.lsu.edu/code) provides a framework of standard acceptable behavior for students. You are responsible for complying with LSU’s policies, rules, and regulations, which can be found at http://saa.lsu.edu/code
 
20. Academic or Conduct Rule and Policy Violations: you may be suspended or expelled if you violate any of LSU’s Student Handbook policies, rules, or regulations, which may result in the revocation of your immigration status. No refund will be given in cases of suspension or expulsion.
 
21. Grievance Procedures, Appeals, or Complaints: You must follow the policy and procedures for filing complaints, grievances, and appeals in a constructive and timely manner by visiting http://students.lsu.edu/deanofstudents/students/complaints-appeals.
 
22. F-1 Status: In order to maintain proper F-1 status, you must comply with allapplicable Federal regulations related to study in the U.S., including pursuit of a full course of study. You will be in jeopardy of losing your immigration status if you fail to maintain the necessary academic standing. We will be required to report you to the SEVIS database of the DHS for any violation of your F-1 status. Your personally identifiable information, including course enrollment details and changes, and circumstances of any suspected breach by you of LSU’s or LSU GLOBAL’s policies may be shared with the DHS, LSU and accrediting agencies, designated authorities, your parents, and LSU GLOBAL staff and agents. If you intend to seek permanent resident status at any point during your anticipated tenure at Adelphi, you must disclose such intent at the time of application. You will be dismissed from the Program if it is revealed that you intend to change your immigration status or if your status actually changes. No refunds will be given if you must leave the Program due to your actual or anticipated change to permanent resident status.
 
23. Photography, Filming and Sound Recording: The LSU GLOBAL UAP at LSU or its representatives, affiliates, successors and related companies may arrange to photograph or shoot video footage of students for purposes of advertising, public relations, and/or promotion in any medium throughout the world, including on social media sites and on the internet. If you do not wish to participate you must advise us in writing and state at the time of the photography or video shooting the wish not to participate. By accepting these terms and conditions you are indicating your consent to use these photographs or video footage without further consent or notifications unless you follow the above opt-out requirements.
 
24. FERPA: In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), the undersigned student hereby permits LSU and LSU GLOBAL to disclose personally identifiable information, including educational records, financial information and, attendance records to student's parent(s), guardian(s), sponsor(s), sponsorship bodies, and recruiter(s) with information pertaining to their application, academic progress, results and attendance. These permissions will remain in effect during the undersigned student's tenure in the UAP and at LSU unless the student submits a written revocation of this permission to LSU’s Office of the Registrar.
 
25. Force majeure: LSU and LSU Global will not be liable in cases where LSU and/or LSU Global is unable to fulfill any services because of fire, natural disaster, national emergency, act of government, acts of war or terrorism, failure of suppliers or subcontractors, labor disputes or any other reasons which are beyond LSU's or LSU Global's control.
 
26. Liability: The liability of the LSU Global UAP at LSU, its operator, Shorelight-TIGER, LLC, its parent Shorelight Education, LLC, and their group companies, their directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents and partners with respect to losses arising from negligence (except where such liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law), breach of contract or otherwise will be limited in all circumstances to the full amount paid to LSU, LSU Global, or the relevant group company by the relevant student for the particular Program. Such companies and persons will in no circumstances have any liability for indirect or consequential losses or damages. Any dispute, claim or other matter arising will be subject to the jurisdiction and laws of Louisiana without regard to the choice of law rules. Any legal suit, action or proceeding seeking to enforce any provision of, or based on any right or issues arising out of or related to these terms and conditions, shall be brought exclusively in the United States District Court of the Middle District of Louisiana. By signing these terms and conditions, the student consents to and accepts the jurisdictions of such courts for the purpose of any such action or proceeding and agree to waive any objection to venue being laid therein.
